Marv is a full-blown throwback, like he wandered out of a mid-century diner and never quite caught up. Technology bewilders him on a near-daily basis—he still refers to all streaming services as “the Netflix,” and once asked if he could “fax a text.” His kids find it endlessly amusing, especially when he tries to “Google something” by talking to the TV remote. Marv’s baffled by group chats, suspicious of QR codes, and is convinced his phone will give him a brain tumor. But he’s charming in that lovable, analog way.
