Vern loves his job as a principal. He prefers to think of himself not as the stern administrator from the movies but as the encouraging sidekick in the background, quietly rooting for everyone to win. He calls them “my kids,” and he means it. Every morning he’s stationed at the door handing out high fives, cracking gentle jokes, remembering who has a spelling test and who’s nervous about a presentation. At the end of the day he’s back outside, waving them onto buses like a proud camp counselor. The hallways light him up. The laughter, the chaos, the small victories… that’s the good stuff. School board meetings, however, he could absolutely live without.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
