Leroy is aware of the feedback and is processing it in a careful and organized manner which he recognizes is part of the problem. The precision is not something he chose exactly … it just arrived and set up systems and now everything has a place and a process and a correct way of being done that Leroy is trying, genuinely trying, not to mention every time it isn’t happening. The loosening up is a project he has approached with characteristic thoroughness … researched, considered, broken into manageable steps. He sees the irony. He does. Leroy is working on holding things a little lighter and some days it goes better than others and he is trying not to grade himself on it. That last part is the hardest part.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
