Laverne’s children flew the nest and took absolutely nothing with them that Laverne wasn’t still willing to provide, which is everything, always, for anyone who needs it. The bag is always stocked… snacks, bandaids, something for a headache, probably a granola bar from a brand you haven’t seen since 2011 but it’ll do. The shoulder is always available. The advice comes included whether you ordered it or not and it is almost always correct. She adopted the world quietly and without making a fuss about it and the world, largely, has accepted the arrangement with gratitude. Nobody asked Laverne to be everybody’s den mother. She just showed up that way and kept showing up and at this point everyone would be completely lost without her. She knows. She planned it that way.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
