Erica is not a Debbie Downer, and she'd appreciate it if we kept the record straight. She wakes up with a smile and every intention of keeping it. Then the day starts handing her people. The cashier at the gas station is having a rough morning, so Erica is having a rough morning. The man outside asking for change has a story, and Erica carries it to the car. She feels all of it, all day, with no off switch. By evening she's worn soft around the edges, holding about nine strangers' troubles. It's not gloom. It's just a very big heart with no filter. She's still the one they all want to talk to.
