Conrad is in a rut and has been in the rut long enough to have learned its contours pretty well. The job is what the job is and Conrad is starting to look at it clearly for the first time which is uncomfortable but probably necessary. His friends are out there thriving in ways that Conrad is genuinely happy about and also finds extremely inconvenient right now. He is not wallowing … he would like that distinction made … he is just stuck, temporarily, in a moment that has gone on slightly longer than a moment should. The rut is going to break. He believes this. He tells himself this on a fairly regular basis and most days it holds. Today it mostly held. Tomorrow he’ll try again.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
