Bud found Is It Cake and something in him just woke up. The concept alone… that something could look exactly like a shoe or a stapler or a household pet and be cake… broke his brain in the best possible way and he has not recovered. The equipment arrived in several boxes over several days and Bud’s kitchen now looks like a fondant situation that got slightly out of hand. The cookbooks are stacked. The ambition is enormous. The results so far are… identifiable as attempts… which is not exactly the goal but Bud is not discouraged because Bud has seen what those people can do and he believes with his whole heart that he can get there. Nobody has been fooled yet. Not even a little. Bud is undeterred.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
