Argus isn’t a negative Nancy… he’s just prepared. Or at least that’s what he tells himself. He takes his role as “protector” of the family very seriously, which means mentally rehearsing every possible thing that could go wrong before lunch. The stove seems suspicious. That noise in the car? Concerning. Weather slightly changing? Noted. He doesn’t mean to spiral… he simply prefers to be ready. To his credit, the locks are always double-checked and there are fresh batteries when you need them. Beneath the vigilance is a tender kind of devotion.
