Vernon is aware of how this looks and has made his peace with it. Middle aged guy discovers birding… yes, fine, he’s the cliché, moving on. What nobody tells you before it happens is that bird song does something to your nervous system that is genuinely difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced it… it just settles everything down and makes the world feel correctly sized. The bird seed situation has gotten a little out of hand financially and Vernon’s family has noticed and said things about it that Vernon has chosen not to internalize. New friends are out there every morning. Vernon is going to find them. Binoculars already around his neck.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
