Holden wanted to study cephalopods and the universe said yes which does not always happen and Holden has not taken it for granted. The job is real, the lab is real, and Tony is very real… eight armed, extraordinarily intelligent, and Holden’s favorite subject in ways that have crossed comfortably into favorite relationship. He has catalogued Tony’s abilities with the devotion of someone who cannot believe this is actually his job… the problem solving, the camouflage, the general octopus audacity of it all. Tony, for his part, has assessed Holden and found him acceptable… smooth and reliable, which in octopus terms is basically a glowing reference. They have an understanding. It is one of the better relationships either of them has going.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
