Gwendoline has always taken up more vertical space than average and spent a considerable portion of her youth wishing that wasn’t true. Junior high was its own particular situation… all those years of slouching, shrinking, trying to fold herself into a size that felt less conspicuous and mostly just felt uncomfortable. Something shifted eventually, the way it does when you get tired of making yourself smaller for a world that was just going to be the wrong size anyway. Gwendoline stood up. All the way up. She is claiming her space now with the quiet confidence of someone who earned it the hard way and has absolutely no intention of giving it back. The view from up here, it turns out, is excellent.

One of a kind scary monster sculpture made with cone 6 white stoneware clay. Scary monsters are made from slabs of clay that are pushed and manipulated into their monster shapes. They are all fired in a kiln for 3 firings (thats 3 trips into the abyss of 2000+ degrees) depending on the final finish.
